DUMPLINGS

Don’t be scared of making dumplings - they are easier than you think. You can also leave out the pork mince and just use the vegetables for a vegetarian option.

Ingredients

200g pork mince 

2 Tbs grated ginger*

1 tsp sesame oil*

1 tsp fish sauce*

1 chilli, de-seeded and finely sliced (optional)*

2 Tbsp chopped coriander 

1 small leek finely chopped 

1 tsp baking soda*

Salt and pepper*

1 packet dumpling wrappers*

 

For the Dipping Sauce:

2 Tbsp sweet chilli sauce*

1 tsp lemon juice 

1 tsp fish sauce*

1 tsp sesame oil*

1 Tbsp brown sugar*

Method

Mix all filling ingredients together. 

Take one teaspoon of mixture and place on the dumpling wrapper. Brush one half of the wrapper with water. Pinch sides together. 

Heat a fry pan with a little oil, place dumplings in the pan. Add 1/3 cup water, cover with a lid and allow to steam for seven minutes.

Combine the dipping sauce ingredients. Taste and add as required.
